Do the job for which they are intended.

Being a Mum to two dogs, one thing I need a constant supply of is poo bags. I have purchased bags from various places over the years, so have plenty with which to compare. These bags by Shabbee Dog Care Store come boxed, and there are 12 rolls in the box, with each roll containing 15 bags. The bags are made from 80% recycled plastic.Price wise, the pack currently retails for £9.99, working out at approx 6 pence per bag.The roll does contain a cardboard inner tube. I know some rolls do not have this, but it’s down to personal preference and whether you need an inner tube for your bag dispenser. The company do sell a separate dispenser. The bags tear off easily with the perforations, and they are unperfumed, which I personally prefer. They are a good length, which is necessary as they do not have handles, so you need the extra length to be able to tie them up. I do normally prefer tie handles, as this can make it easier to tie up the bag, and you can hold onto the loops until you find a suitable disposal bin. However, the bag is big enough to easily tie a knot. It’s more or less the size of an A4 sheet of paper. In terms of thickness, they are not particularly thick, and in fact when I peeled off the sticker which holds the roll in place, it did tear a hole in the bag. This could be due to an extra sticky sticker, and I have to say no poop has leaked since using them. They are quite see-through, and on the photo you can clearly see my hand inside the bag.In conclusion, they are what I would call "mid range" poo bags, but this is reflected in the price. I am happy to give them 4 stars.Thank you for reading my review and I hope along with my photos it has been helpful.

Bottom split too easily

Unfortunately, these were not the best dog bags in my testing.I always try a few bags before relying on them properly, usually by putting my hand inside and stretching them a little to see how strong they feel. With a couple of these, my hand went straight through the bottom with very little effort. That does not give me much confidence, especially for something that needs to be leakproof and dependable. The size is good, and I like that they are unscented and made with a high percentage of recycled material. The rolls are also a practical size for taking out on walks. Those are all positives, but strength is the main thing that matters with poo bags, and my pack did not convince me.

Dog poo bags

These bags are a good size for handling larger messes without having to worry about the contents being too close to your hand. At 23 x 33cm, there is enough material to tie the bag securely after use, which I appreciate compared with smaller bags that can feel unnecessarily cramped. The bags also feel reasonably strong during normal use.I have not had problems with the material tearing when picking up waste, and the leakproof construction gives some extra confidence when carrying a used bag around. They are also unscented, which I prefer because artificial fragrance does not really improve the experience of using a poo bag.The recycled content is another positive aspect. Using 80% certified post-consumer recycled material makes these a more appealing option than standard bags made entirely from new plastic, while still retaining the strength needed for their actual purpose. The only reason I have not given them five stars is that there is nothing particularly revolutionary about them. They are well-made, practical dog waste bags that do what they are supposed to do. I would also still be careful not to rely on any bag as completely leakproof if carrying it around for a long time.Overall, these are dependable large dog poo bags with good dimensions and enough strength for everyday use. The recycled material is a worthwhile bonus, and the lack of fragrance makes them a straightforward, practical choice.

Strong, leakproof and tear resistant. Essential qualities for dog poop bags.

Good, strong poop bags. The small, compact roll keeps the bags neat and tidy, and each bag tears off easily along the perforations. They are slightly more expensive than my usual brand, but only by a penny more per bag, so not a big difference. No tie handles, so they’re a little more tricky to tie up, and I would have preferred them to be darker in colour to hide the contents completely, but being leakproof and tear-resistant is more important. Big enough to use when out walking my 34kg dog.

Nice and strong

I like these poop bags. They are large which I like because I have 3 small King Charles and their Poops are small so I tend to pick up all 3 of their poops into one bag. Mainly because I think it’s a waste of a poop bag using multiple. Obviously if they haven’t all pooped at the same time and then I use one bag at a time but generally they always go after breakfast and dinner So I just pick them all up together. So based on that I would assume that if you have a large dog then these would work. They are strong which I like because sometimes bags rip up when I open a bag, these don’t do that thankfully.Theres not much more I can say for poop bags other than they are large and strong.

Large, strong poop bags made with high recycled content

I like that these bags are thin so as to minimise the amount of plastic yet still very strong. I’ve not had any issues with the bags or seams splitting. The bag dimensions were accurate and they're easily large enough for my large dog’s super poops.I normally prefer tie-handle bags, but these do have plenty of spare height left to tie the bags off.As far as I know, without access to industrial composting, these recycled plastic bags are a better choice than cornstarch ones. When reviewed they were average value.

Strong, thick bags and good value

I’m really pleased with these poo bags. They’re stronger and noticeably thicker than others I’ve used, so there’s no worry about them splitting during use. They’re a good size too, especially if you’ve got a larger dog.At the current price of £9.99 for 180 bags, they work out at around 5p each, which I think is really good value. Good quality bags that do exactly what they need to.

Happy to recommend

“Poop bags” are – for many people – a necessity of modern life. They certainly became a necessary purchase in our family when my youngest son acquired a small Cockapoo. These bags (180 in total) are generously sized, easy to undo, and seem suitably robust for their intended use (i.e. they do not tear easily!). I particularly like the fact that they are unscented and – even more importantly – are made with 80% certified recycled plastic, thus helping to reduce their environmental impact. Happy to recommend.

Good soze and strong.

£9.99 as reviewed. Twelve rolls of fifteen bags. Bags are a good size and feel strong. Ideal for large breeds. The only thing that lets them down, in my opinion, each roll has a sticky round seal which is difficult ro remove and usually results in a hole in the first bag.

Strong and reliable dog poo bags

These dog poo bags are well-made and perform well for everyday use. Their 23 x 33cm size offers ample room, making them suitable for larger dogs and daily walks. The bags feel strong enough to handle the job without feeling flimsy.I appreciate the unscented design, I prefer not to have artificial fragrances added to something like this. They’re also easy to tear away from the roll after the first bag and the perforations make it simple to separate each bag during walks. The leakproof and tear-resistant construction is reassuring, especially for heavier or messier waste. Plus, they use 80% certified post-consumer recycled material, which is a great touch for anyone looking to reduce new plastic use while still having a practical bag.The only issue I’ve noticed is with the sticker that holds the first bag on each roll. It’s quite difficult to remove cleanly and can tear a hole in the bag underneath. This means you can pretty much expect to discard the first bag from every roll, which is a bit wasteful and could be improved.Overall, these are strong, well-made dog poo bags that perform well and have a good size for everyday use. I like the recycled material and unscented design, but the sticker issue is frustrating and can lead to losing the first bag. Aside from this, I’m happy with their performance.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ 🐕💩♻️👍✅ I hope you found my review helpful.

Plop bags for, well, for plop...

First thing's first, I did own a dog. Now before you jump all over me for ordering something for something I don't have, hear me out. I don't own a dog, but I do own a tortoise. Hey, don't walk away from me, come back!Right, so I own a tortoise. As well as monthly cleans, and weekly cleans, there are also daily cleans and spot checks. I've been using either small sandwich bags to scoop up poop, or snapping on nitrile gloves. It was all becoming a bit wasteful. Then, on perusing Vine I spied these doggy poop bags by Shabbee Dog Care, and wheels in my head started to turn.I grabbed a bag.For your hard earned you get a small box filled with several rolls of poop bags. I had no idea what to expect, I just always assumed that such bags were poor in quality, given the recycled nature, and the fact that they are just poop bags, but what poop bags these Shabbee Dog Care ones are. These things tear off the roll easy at the perforations, yet they themselves are very tough. I expected them to be brittle, tear easily, and perhaps leak. Nope. How wrong was I? I was able to do my spot checks, pick up poop, food debris and left overs, as well as soiled moss with easy. And because these bags are so large, I was able to get away with using just one bag, instead of the multiple (and gloves) that I was using. Don't get me wrong, I washed my hands to kingdom come after use, but these were surprisingly strong bags. Not just for dogs, but yeah, more likely for dogs.

Strong

These are quality poo bags. They’re a nice large size, which makes them much easier to use and gives plenty of room, especially with bigger animals. The bags feel strong and durable and I haven’t had any issues with tearing or leaking.I also like that they’re unscented and made with 80% recycled material, which is a nice bonus. They’re easy to separate from the roll and do exactly what you need them to do.Overall, sturdy, reliable bags at a good size. I’d definitely recommend them and would use again.

These are not biodegradable but they are made of recycled plastic

These are not like those rice or similar plant made bags which biodegrade so they must lose a star for that as it's better than the bog poo can be degraded and if it's stuck in a non degradable plastic bag that's not going to be able to happen. But the bags a more a good size for dog poo pick up and of course are less likely to leak.

Pawsitively Strong Bags for Big Business!

These Shabbee Dog Poop Bags are fantastic! They’re generously sized for even the biggest poops and tear easily from the roll without ripping. Although slightly see-through, the material feels thick and durable, so there’s little fear of the dreaded finger-through-the-bag poop hand!I love that they’re made from recycled materials, although I’d like clearer information on whether they’re biodegradable and how they decompose. My only gripe is the roll sticker—it tears the first bag when removed, meaning one bag per roll gets wasted. An easy-peel sticker would solve this.Great value, strong, spacious and more than capable of handling giant deposits!

great quality bags

These bags are well-made, of good thickness, and a decent size. I appreciate that the sticker was easy to remove without damaging the first bag on the roll. They are large enough to manage multiple pick-ups for my dog, a task that smaller bags often struggle with. The thickness of these bags is genuinely robust, not merely adequate. I can tie a bag around the lead without concern that it will weaken and tear.At £9.99 for 180 bags, this equates to approximately £2 per month for my usage, representing excellent value.

Good Value Poo Bag Rolls Which Fit in a Standard Holder and are a Decent Thickness.

You get a decent amount of poo bags in the box, which are in rolls. Each roll has been sealed by a round label. I did find the label difficult to pull off as it had stuck on that poo bag, so made a hole in it.The bags themselves are medium thickness and a decent size. I have a small dog, so would generally just fill the bottom of the bag, if you have a larger dog, these bags will take a large amount of waste, and you would still be able to tie it at the top (no tie handles).I've had many different types of poo bags over the years, and unless you have seriously sharp long nails, I cannot see your hand going through these bags. With a 1/10 for the cheap ones where your hands go through the bag at a drop of a hat, I would give these a 6/10 for thickness. I don't see that as a bad score because they come in a roll, if they were too thick they wouldn't fit the standard poo roll holders, and these do fit.Good poo bags which will last a good while and ideal for all sizes of breeds.

Large size bags, full rectangles, enough to properly tie the tops. We haven't had one tear or leak.

Review of "Poop Bags by Shabbee Dog Care – Large Size 23x33cm, Strong, Tear Resistant, Leakproof, Unscented."- size check: 23x33cm as stated (about 13"x9"), and they are full rectangles as opposed to any tapering to a point at the base. So you get the full size of them. Very much appreciated for a man to get his hand into, pull back over the wrist, and scoop the business inside, flip bag forward and tie. Job Done. The supermarket bags were too small for a mans hand really, and also too small for real-life dog poop; these bags are proper full size and still enough plastic to do a good tie.- The plastic is a much thicker gauge than the others we'd had; these don't rip when opening or when filling, and don't rip or leak when hot (as we all know, it's hot when fresh, and thinner bags don't stand up to it.)- There are 15 bags on the roll, and one roll is 6cmx2.5cm, no more than a small roll of coin, so it's easy to take a roll in a pocket or even in a purse. Bags are unscented, so they don't change the smell of your pocket or purse, which is a problem with some other bags.Happy with these.
