Shabbee Puppy Shampoo

We have a new puppy to keep our other dog company, but at the moment, they cannot share shampoos, so I thought I would give this a try and get her used to regular bathing. The shampoo comes in a locked pump dispenser, a simple twist and it pops open, then hold the pump down and twist to lock it closed again. All nice and neat an no chance of accidental dispensing when thrown into our dog care box.The shampoo is slightly off-white, dispenses in neat, measured doses and can either be applied direct to fur or our preferred method is to have a diluted bucket that we use to dowse the puppy in rather than have a ton of foam we have to rinse out for ages after. The second bath had her soaked and direct application where it foamed up nicely and rinsed out cleanly, though that might depend on the coat of the dog being washed.The fur was left in good condition, it is soft and silky and since her first bath there has been no itching scratching or signs of skin irritation. It is a nice gentle shampoo that our dog tolerated.In respect of value for money, it is reasonably priced at £9 per bottle and on par with other similar quality dog shampoos. However, I do question why I can buy a bottle of human shampoo of good heritage at half the price, surely the science and ingredients can’t be that different.

Very gentle free puppy shampoo which is fragrance free. It’s PH balanced and I use it to clean my doggies paws after there walks. Definitely recommend

I wanted a milder shampoo for my dogs as I don't like using anything that feels overly harsh or heavily fragranced.This one is straightforward to use and lathers up reasonably well without needing a huge amount each time.It rinses out easily too, which is important with a thick coat as shampoo can otherwise take ages to get completely out.The scent is pleasant and fresh without being ridiculously strong or lingering for days afterwards.After drying, the coat felt noticeably soft and clean rather than stripped or dry.I also like that the formula is intended to be gentle, as that was one of the main reasons I chose it in the first place.The consistency is about right and isn't so watery that half of it disappears down the plughole before you've had a chance to work it into the coat.One slight negative is that I would have liked the fragrance to last a little longer, although I'd rather have that than something overpowering.It also isn't the cheapest dog shampoo around, particularly if you're regularly washing a larger dog.The bottle and shampoo itself feel like decent quality though, and so far I've got no complaints about how it performs.I wouldn't expect anything miraculous from a dog shampoo, but for simply getting the coat clean and leaving it feeling nice afterwards, this does the job well.Overall I think it's reasonably good value for money and I'd happily continue using it, although a slightly larger bottle for the price would make it better value.

I’m really impressed with this puppy shampoo. It’s lovely and gentle, but still leaves the coat feeling clean, soft and fresh.It has a nice mild scent and doesn’t seem harsh on the skin, which is really important with puppies. It also rinses out easily, making bath time much less of a struggle!After using it, the coat feels really soft and looks lovely and clean. I’ve been really pleased with the results.This is definitely going on our shopping list for future washes. A really good puppy shampoo and one I would happily recommend to other dog owners.

A friend recommended this puppy shampoo to me, and I'm so glad she did! I've tried several puppy shampoos recently, but this one genuinely stands out. Unlike some other brands I've used, it cleans thoroughly without leaving behind an overpowering artificial fragrance and is very easy to rinse. After bath time, my pup's coat was soft, shiny, and fresh, and most importantly, it didn't cause any irritation to his sensitive skin.Bath time is still a bit of an adventure in our house, but at least now my little troublemaker comes out looking and smelling fantastic!After reading some other reviews, I became slightly concerned about the ingredients, but after looking into them more closely, I think there may be some confusion. This shampoo does not contain Cocamide MEA - it contains Cocamide Methyl MEA, which is a different ingredient altogether. While traditional Cocamide MEA has been the subject of discussions regarding skin irritation and potential nitrosamine contamination, Cocamide Methyl MEA is a mild, non-ionic surfactant derived from coconut fatty acids and methyl monoethanolamine. It is commonly used in shampoos and body washes to improve foaming, increase viscosity, and help reduce skin irritation.The formula also includes several plant-based ingredients that may offer skin and coat benefits:- Zanthoxylum bungeanum fruit extract is known for its soothing, skin-conditioning, and anti-itch properties,- Sophora angustifolia root extract is a traditional herbal ingredient often used for its calming, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effects, making it particularly suitable for sensitive or irritated skin,- Capsicum frutescens fruit extract is sometimes added to grooming products as a natural skin conditioner and circulation booster. Easy to use shampoo that rinsed nicely and worked effectively - my bichon puppy's coat was beautifully white and fluffy after the wash. I only needed a small amount for my tiny puppy too so it's good value and should last well.I was pleased to see this shampoo was fragrance free, as well as free of dyes and paraben. However, when coming to write this review I checked the ingredients list a little closer and saw it includes things such as Cocamide MEA, which can be irritating to skin. The list of ingredients was quite complex for a puppy formula too so I'm not sure if I will continue to use it, even though it produced lovely results.
